Erna Aaltonen, who was born in 1951, is one of the leading contemporary ceramics artists of Finland. She worked and lived Fiskars, a little village nearby Helsinki. Erna Aaltonen had many exhibitions in and outside Finland and her work can also be found in many musea. With her work she won two awards; Finland’s Sate prize for design (2014) and Premio Faenza 59, Mention of Honour, The Gold Medal of International Ceramic Museum in Faenza, Italy (2015).
