For almost half a century Dora jung was one of the master
weavers of Finland.
Both in unique pieces and in production designs,Jung assiduously
maintained the highest standards of technical quality in craftmanship,
often restricting the range of colors to form patterns through the weave
itself-as in Shells 1957 from a series of abstract woven compositions.
The linnen nabkin ,in witch a strong graphic pattern emerges with an
economy of coler, typifies her production designs.
It was awarded a Grand Prix at the Milan Triënnale of 1957.
